Let the cooking begin!

Before we head off for our assignment next month with Carr Manor in Cripple Creek Colorado we decided to try out a few of their tempting recipes. This morning we enjoyed a scrumptious serving of this delicious egg puff. You can add a variety of veggies or meat selections. We choose minced green onions and baby Bella mushrooms and it was yummy!

What are baby Bella mushrooms and are they hard to find? Are they organic? I definitely want to try the recipe.

I prefer to use organic ingredients whenever possible. For my recipe addition I chose organic baby Bella mushrooms. The "baby" Bellas are portabello mushrooms like the larger caps that are sometimes used for grilling. They are brown in color and a bit firmer than the white mushrooms. I love their earthy flavor and the texture keeps them from falling apart in your recipe. These are easy to find a your grocery store in the organic produce area.

Since breakfast is the most important meal of your day we should all pause, give thanks and enjoy our meal before rushing out for the day.

Could you start a category on B&B's to visit or even great or interesting (even international!) places to visit? It seems that you would know best where to recommend. I always prefer staying in a boutique property as opposed to huge hotels that lack personality. Thanks for any suggestions that you can offer!!

Wow! That is a tall order to fill. Unfortunately, I don't have enough blog space at the moment to send all the info needed. I can tell you this...that when we travel out of the country we never make reservations because we have always had good luck with finding a variety of homes, B&B, inns, cabins etc. that are available. You can always look for the "i" symbol when traveling abroad and stop for information. They always speak English and have always had a good selection of accommodations to chose from. Never go in asking for a place to stay without first letting them know how much you want to spend. This saves time and also gives you a little room to bargain for a lower rate. We also prefer a non-hotel "cookie cutter" experience when we travel too. I hope to dedicate another page soon to cover some great escapes that we have uncovered and look forward to your input as well.
